Security Reviews

A company’s IT infrastructure will grow steadily overtime and frequently the growth is organic with applications, hardware and broadband connectivity being upgraded, made resilient or added to the network.  This can result in vulnerabilities being introduced into a network that can go unnoticed.

Even with planned growth, a network can still profit from an external party assessing the policies and procedures that have been put in place.  As a result, it is advisable to review what is in place and decide whether security policies set down previously are being adhered to or are in fact still relevant.  A Redscan Security Review addresses these issues.

The review is intended to provide an objective perspective of the company’s current security posture and provide, where relevant, recommendations as how they might be improved.  The following steps are carried out:

  • A penetration test of the perimeter security.
  • An on-site visit to discuss policy and procedure with the senior IT personnel.
  • A report to provide the results of the penetration test and site visit, along with recommendations where required.

This review is dependent on the information provided to the security advisor.  As a result, each of the sections provides a synopsis of the information provided as understood by the advisor.  From this information, recommendations are made as required and then a summary of the important issues is provided.  In the conclusion, the most important issues to be addressed are listed.
